About

Norm Space is a hostel, museum, community space, and slow cafe in a former children’s school in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand. The building is Art Deco. Today it holds individual hostel rooms, The Slow Cafe, and a private museum dedicated to the life of Kru Norm (Norm Uparamai).

Kru Norm was a local teacher, lawyer, diplomat, and politician. The museum on the second floor (reached from the cafe) is free to visit from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Read his story on the Kru Norm Museum page.

Guests stay in air-conditioned rooms with shared bathrooms, a terrace looking toward Phra Ngoen Pagoda, and a slow cafe for coffee, tea, and board games. See the hostel, the Slow Cafe, and contact for hours and how to arrive.
